Mauck - Delorce Cox

Delorce M. “Bette Jo” Mauck, 51, of 1659 N. Gilbert St., Danville, Ill., a former Crawfordsville resident, died at 8:22 a.m. today in Lake View Medical Center at Danville. Mrs. Mauck was a member of the Baptist Church and active in Sunday School with the five-year-old group. She attended Crawfordsville schools and was an animal trainer. Born May 19, 1925, at Muncie, she was a daughter of John and Margaret Fletcher Cox. She married Bowen Mauck on Oct. 17, 1947, at Crawfordsville. He survives. Also surviving are a brother, Marvin “Bud” Cox of Crawfordsville and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Robertson of Speedway City and Mrs. Elsie Chadwick of Danville, Ind. Private services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Barrick & Son Funeral Home at Danville with the Rev. Harris Stuermer officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the scholarship fund at Hope Baptist High School. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. – jlr
